Storytellers in Action
Storytellers in Action, is a unique six-month program designed to empower individuals living with hepatitis B and liver cancer to share their personal journeys with confidence and impact.
Since January 2025, our pilot cohort of passionate storytellers has been meeting monthly for one-hour sessions that include engaging guest speakers and open discussions. Over the course of the program, participants develop their storytelling skills, build confidence, and become powerful patient advocates.
Through workshops, mentorship, and ongoing support, Storytellers in Action provides tools and opportunities for participants to:
Develop compelling narratives tailored for diverse audiences
Build confidence in public speaking and media engagement
Advocate for better healthcare policies and resources
Connect with a supportive community of fellow advocates
We are proud to spotlight these trailblazers and look forward to welcoming new voices in future cohorts. Together, we are making a difference — one story at a time.
“I am not working in isolation to promote and advocate for Hepatitis B elimination—the Hepatitis B Foundation staff have consistently supported me. This project has strengthened my confidence to speak up in various settings.”
“This program was so helpful for getting a clear sense of where I’m at currently in my advocacy journey and hearing where others are in theirs.”

“It is very hard to come out and talk about hepatitis and its impact on our daily lives, but if this helps to raise awareness and help other people not to get it or manage their existing condition, then it is time well spent.”
