Amy Hill, MA

Amy Hill is a trainer on the ethics and practice of personal storytelling and participatory media strategies in support of public health, gender equality, and human rights. In 2005, she co-founded StoryCenter’s Silence Speaks initiative to surface and share personal stories documenting injustice and advocating for change, and she has subsequently developed digital storytelling projects with partners in more than 15 countries around the world. Amy has been collaborating with the Hepatitis B Foundation on the #justB Storytelling initiative since 2017. She holds a BA in Literature from Scripps College and a MA in Gender Studies from Stanford University, and lives in Berkeley with her husband Thomas and their daughter Fana.
